Domestic Travel Assistance and Insurance is available for purchase by Indian citizens who are travelling within the territorial boundaries of India. Eligibility remains subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions listed in the insurer-issued policy document.

Yes. Online purchases cover passengers below 70 years of age as of the journey date. Travellers aged 70 or above can still seek coverage by contacting us directly so we can review their case and share suitable options. Additional underwriting terms may apply.

The standard policy provides cover for up to 30 consecutive days from the policy inception date (the day your trip begins). Round-trip journeys are protected until you return to the original point of departure or hit the 30-day limit—whichever is earlier. For longer itineraries, please contact us to explore bespoke options.

In the unfortunate event of accidental death or dismemberment, benefits are paid to the nominee named by the insured person. If no nominee is registered, the payout goes to the insured’s bona fide legal heir per applicable laws. All other benefits under the policy are paid directly to the insured individual, subject to policy terms.

Domestic plans bundle trip cancellation and interruption benefits, emergency medical treatment within India, loss or delay of checked baggage, missed departures due to covered reasons, and on-trip concierge assistance. Optional add-ons such as adventure-sports coverage or gadget protection can be included when you customize your quote.

Yes. Coverage can begin immediately after successful payment as long as no incident has already occurred. We recommend buying the plan as soon as tickets are booked so that pre-departure benefits (like cancellation cover) are active before any change of plan.

Standard domestic plans cover non-hazardous leisure trips. If you are planning treks, motor rallies, rafting, or other higher-risk adventures, select the Adventure Activities rider during purchase or speak with our team. This rider extends emergency medical, evacuation, and personal accident benefits to approved activities up to specified limits.

You can reach our 24×7 emergency helpline for instant coordination. We guide you to the nearest network hospital, arrange cashless admission where available, and approve reimbursement for eligible out-of-network care after documents are submitted. Ambulance services and medical evacuation to your city of residence are also covered when medically necessary and included in your plan.

Keep digital copies of the following to avoid delays:
  • Travel tickets/boarding passes and proof of trip payment
  • Government-issued photo ID showing your residence
  • Hospital or clinic invoices, discharge summaries, and prescriptions
  • Police, airline, or transport authority reports for loss or theft
  • Expense receipts for hotels, meals, or transport claimed due to delays
Submit everything through our online claims form or email them to the claims desk within 30 days of the incident.
